Servings          
Original recipe makes 1
Beef - Filet steak; softened
Olive oil; as required
Salt; crushed
Pepper, black; crushed
Mixed Herbs; as required
Potato; cut into chip
Mixed Salad; as required

Steak and Chips Cordon Bleu Preparation

Chips

Peel and cut potatoes into chips

Place chips in boiling fat unitil cooked but not brown

Take out of fat.

Reheat in fat when steak is turned for first time for 4 minutes until light brown.

Steak

Add pinch of salt and pepper to each side of steak prior to cokking.

Preheat pan with olive oil.

Place steak in pan and leave.

Turn after 4 minutes or side is nearly brown but top side is still red.

Cook other sise to taste, 1 minute rare, 2 minutes, medium, 4 minutes well done.

Serving

Place chips and steak on plate and garnish with salid as you see fit.
