Simple Tuna Melt
Recipes » Main Dish » Sandwiches and Wraps
Ahh, the simple pleasures of a tuna-melt. I like high-end fussy food a lot of the time, but there are times that I enjoy a good old fashioned tuna-melt. So sue me.
"Made this tomight for dinner. I added salt, pepper, lemon juice, chili powder and worchestershire to the tuna mayo mixture. I also served it with a piece of lettuce and provolone cheese instead of american. I think my tuna mix was a little too mushy because it was coming out the sides of the sandwich like a sloppy joe would, but it was very yummy." - adam6806Yield: 4 Ready in 10 minutes

Simple Tuna Melt Preparation
Preheat the broiler.
Toast the bread in a toaster. (Toasting ahead of time makes the bread crunchy.)
Mix the mayonnaise and tuna to your taste. Spread on the bread, open-faced. Add your favorite meltable cheese. Broil 3-4 inches under the broiler for 3-4 minutes. Watch carefully, and take it out before it turns black. Delicious!
