Classic Swiss Steak

Recipes »  Main Dish  »  Meat - Steaks and Chops

This one only takes a couple hours vs the normal cook all day in the crock pot.

"My husband gave this a definite thumbs up. I made it with blade steak that I de-boned and trimmed of excess gristle and fat. Then I pounded the living daylights out of it with a meat mallet before searing the steak. I cooked it in a pressure cooker because I was running a bit behind, but it turned out great and my husband put it in the "repeat this recipe" class." - jfitch

Notes

The carrots in the ingredient list interested me so I thought I would give it a try. Tasted pretty good. One I will make again.

This was delicious. I sautéed the celery and onions along with the carrots and added 2 cubed potatoes for a complete meal. Meat was fork-tender. Great blend of flavors. Recommended.
