My mom's chocolate cake from scratch recipe I learned 32 years ago.

Sour Milk Chocolate Cake (with Cream Cheese Icing) Preparation
Cake: Cream together butter and sugar. Add 2 eggs, 1 cup sour milk (add 1 tbsp vinegar to milk), flour, cocoa, salt, baking soda. Mix till well blended. Pour in greased 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.
Icing: When cake is cool, mix icing ingredients and moisten with small amount of milk if needed.
Note: Original recipe had the icing amounts doubled; seemed like too much. This is the right amount of icing.
