I normally prefer my chocolate chip cookies thin and crisp. However, I do sometimes get a hankerin' for a chewy change of pace. When I get that hankerin'....this is the recipe I turn to. Truly the best chewy chocolate chip cookies that I've ever made.

Stealie1 , 6 months agoWhen I made them I used 1/2 tablespoon Vanilla extract and 1/2 tablespoon almond extract and it gave them an awesome flavor.
spicemix , 6 months agoI've found this recipe all over the internet, each one the same, which is peculiar when dealing with baking. I recently acquired a foolproof cookbook from the library that had this recipe again, except that it adds two tablespoons of ap flour. Just the two tbsp does wonders to the somewhat loose dough with only the two cups. It even eliminates the need to chill. (Even though this enhances the thickness, if only slightly)

xteatime , 8 months agoThese are amazing! Sometimes I'll add nuts and caramel bits to the recipe, and they're delicious!! I've tried several different recipes and these are my favorite. When I half the recipe I also simply use one egg!!
