This recipe was inspired by the recipe at www.OwensInc.com. They are great for parties and snacking.

"They went at my Christmas party in 5 minutes ! I loved them I used both pepper jack cheese and Monterey cheese ! Also used more water , Tony's spicy seasoning , and hot jimmy dean sausage ! They were a hit :) " - Haileyy525

1 poundOwens Hot Sausage
2 cupsBisquick
4 cupsShredded cheddar cheese; or Monterrey Jack or mixed
1/8 teaspoonSalt
1/8 teaspoonPepper
1 tablespoonDried sage
1 tablespoonDried parsley
2 tablespoonpickled jalapeno; Chopped
2 eaGreen onions; chopped fine - use tops
2 tablespoonWater

Spicy Sausage Balls Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees and spray two cookie sheets with non-stick cooking spray. Place all ingredients in a large bowl and mix well with your hands. Form into 1 inch balls and place them on baking sheets leaving some space between them so you can turn them over. Bake 15 minutes and then turn them over. Bake an additional 15 minutes and transfer to serving dish. If you have leftovers, they are good reheated in the microwave.

Very tasty and easy to make. I also had to use more liquid to get them to the right consistency, I ended up doubling it. Next time I make them I'll cut down a bit on the cook time, they were a bit overdone.

They were great. Only used flour instead of baking mix but still worked. Also used chilli powder instead of jalepeno and apart from over doing the chilli, they were best meat balls ever!
