You can substitute almost any seasoning for the chicken bouillon and poultry seasoning, just use what YOU like!

4 tablespoonsButter
1 Onion; -chopped
2 1/2 poundsCabbage; -chopped
1 tablespoonChicken bouillon granules
1/2 teaspoonPoultry seasoning

Fried Cabbage Preparation

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and saute onions until translucent and soft, but not brown.

Add cabbage all at once, and sprinkle with bouillon and poultry seasoning.

Toss to combine, lower heat to medium-low and cover pan.

Cook, covered, stirring every 10 minutes, until cabbage reaches desired level of doneness.

Per Serving: 75 Calories; 5g Fat (55.1% calories from fat); 2g Protein; 7g Carbohydrate; 3g Dietary Fiber; 12mg Cholesterol; 179mg Sodium.

    It was good at first...but we made it as a main dish and I think my boyfriend overdid it on the seasoning...it made me ill for two days. It would be much better watered down and in a small portion.

    One way I prepare this dish is to add Polish sausage in while cooking the cabbage. Also cook some egg noodles and add those when served. These variations are a great addition to this good dish.
