You can substitute almost any seasoning for the chicken bouillon and poultry seasoning, just use what YOU like!

In a large skillet over medium heat, melt butter and saute onions until translucent and soft, but not brown.
Add cabbage all at once, and sprinkle with bouillon and poultry seasoning.
Toss to combine, lower heat to medium-low and cover pan.
Cook, covered, stirring every 10 minutes, until cabbage reaches desired level of doneness.

martamayhem 8 months agoIt was good at first...but we made it as a main dish and I think my boyfriend overdid it on the seasoning...it made me ill for two days. It would be much better watered down and in a small portion.
autrt8 10 months agoExcellent! I used my own stock and Chef Prudhomme Poultry Magic and it disappeared; not a leftover remains!

cynlor 2 years agoi had some leftover cabbage i needed to use and found this recipe. It's amazing that something so simple and inexpensive could taste so yummy! i was unsure what poultry seasoning was so i used sage, thyme, and celery seed. It came out wonderful. Thank you!
