jewelrnbw ,I was skeptical at first, but this turned out amazingly delicious. I cooked it rare then grilled it for anyone who wanted it done more. Also I will slice up leftovers for French Dips.11y
bornready1970 ,love this recipe, the name says it all!! I did have the windows open and all the fans running, but that didn't stop the hard wired smoke detector from doing it's job! This is a noisy recipe in my house, but will be using it over and over!!11y
nbkat2 ,I was amazed at how good this turned out. Next time I will marinate the roast before cooking it this way.11y

mississippimule ,I tried this cooking method with a 4.25# Prime Rib roast and was very disappointed. I roasted, according to the instructions, for a rare roast but it turned out to be a well done roast!12y
pseudodragon ,Hubby and I made this a few months ago and I forgot to rate! It was fantastic! We both enjoyed it served with mashed potatoes and sauteed green beans, and au jus. Picky Hubby likes his nice and rare, and this recipe worked out great! :o)12y
lasouris ,I've used a slight variation of this recipe (500* oven) & the prime rib turned out phenomenal! This is a fool proof recipe, especially when using an expensive cut of meat that you can't afford to ruin!12y
tdefren ,Worked perfectly! The rare was a bit too rare, frankly, so next time we'll do 6 min per lb.12y
ninjaap ,My very first time making prime rib and it turned out so soft! Hit of the NYE dinner party!12y
redsoxronny ,Like others, I made this for Christmas dinner. My first time cooking prime rib and it came out absolutely amazing. I enjoyed drinking a few beers while "slaving over a hot stove" preparing the prime rib.12y
tclemmens ,Just cooked my 9lb prime rib roast tonight using this method. My oven didn't go to 550 degrees either so I cooked it for 54 min and let it "set" for 1 hr 45 min. Came out a perfect med rare! Hit of our Christmas dinner12y
badapple64 ,Came out as advertised, was able to cut the meat with a butter knife. Too simple, great results, a do over in my books12y
teejay64 ,We just made this prime rib for Christmas dinner. It was AMAZING!! Please try this recipe, you won't be disappointed. I like my meat rarer, and this was consistent all the way through!12y
