Old Fashioned Pot Roast In A Crock Pot
Recipes » Main Dish » Slow Cooker
Delicious! Prepare it the day before you cook it and refrigerate overnight for an easy meal on a busy day.
"A crock pot winner! Exactly what a crock pot recipe should be -- stick all the ingredients in at the same time, minimal fuss with seasonings, and come home after work to a fragrant house and a delicious supper! The only change I made was to add a couple parsnips, cut into thirds, and a rutabaga, cut into eighths. The roast was fork tender and absolutely delicious, the vegetables were most flavorful. Simply, great comfort food." - sgrishkaYield: 6 Ready in 45 minutes

Old Fashioned Pot Roast In A Crock Pot Preparation
Arrange vegetables in the bottom of the crock pot and top them with the roast. Add the water. Pour Kitchen Bouquet on top of the meat to coat it evenly. Sprinkle the remaining spices on top of the meat. Cover and cook on low for 7 hours. Leftovers make excellent stew, soup, or roast beef sandwiches.
Notes
The leftover roast makes good sandwiches, soup, or stew.
