Very tasty and easy recipe! I added a some worchesiscier sauce, diced up some red onion, some crushed red pepper and and threw a couple pineapple rings on top of the roast to add a little sweetness. If you follow the directions, you can't mess this up.
I only used what I had, potatos, carrots, garlic and the chuck roast and I cut the potatos. I only used onion powder and did part water and part soy sauce, YUM! Great recipie to play around with! Thanks so much for sharing! I look forward to trying out more ideas with this!
Very juicy and tender! My 3 year old loved it! I would try different vegetables next time just for variety, because the vegetables turn out perfectly cooked and full of flavour.
My 3 year old loved tossing and shaking the ingredients to make it!
LOVED this recipe! Prepped it all the night before in the pot, left it in the fridge and started it next morning as I left for work. Our house smelled SO good when we got home. The roast and veggies were very tasty. The celery really helps for flavor, too!
This recipe sounds delicious...I will try it very soon without the green peppers (they are not very popular in my entourage) and swop the onion mix with an onion stewed in red wine (I don't know what is the mix you suggested
A crock pot winner! Exactly what a crock pot recipe should be -- stick all the ingredients in at the same time, minimal fuss with seasonings, and come home after work to a fragrant house and a delicious supper! The only change I made was to add a couple parsnips, cut into thirds, and a rutabaga, cut into eighths. The roast was fork tender and absolutely delicious, the vegetables were most flavorful. Simply, great comfort food.
