Quaker Oats Classic Meatloaf
"This was phenomenal. I hate meatloaf usually, but I had seconds of this. My husband at half the loaf, and even my picky, almost two-year-old, loved it too, and even asked for seconds. I used ground turkey instead, only because that's what I had in my freezer. It took an hour to cook. I served it with mashed potatoes and mixed veggies. | 1 1/2 poundsGround beef; or turkey |
| 3/4 cupsQuaker Oats; uncooked |
| 1/2 cupsKetchup |
| 1 Egg; lighttly beaten |
| 1 tablespoonWorcestershire Sauce |
| 2 teaspoonGarlic; minced |
| 1/2 teaspoonSalt |
| 1/4 teaspoonPepper |
Classic Meatloaf Preparation
Heat oven to 350 degrees F. Combine all ingredients in large bowl; mix lightly but thoroughly. Sahpe meatloaf mixture into 10x6-inch loaf on rack of broiler pan.
Bake 50 to 55 minutes or until meatloaf is to medium doneness (160 degrees F, 170 degrees F for turkey), until in center and juices show no pink color. Let stand 5 minutes before slicing. Cover and refrigerate leftovers promptly and use within 2 days, or wrap airtight and freeze up to 3 months.
