Pasta In A Pot
Great make ahead casserole that everyone likes (you may have to skip the mushrooms for some finicky eaters!)
"The last instructions should read -
half macaroni, half meat sauce, half sour cream, all provolone cheese;balance of macaroni; rest of meat sauce, balance of sour cream, all mozzarella cheese;"

Ingredients
| 2 poundsGround beef |
| 2 mediumOnions; chopped |
| 1 cloveGarlic; chopped |
| 14 ouncesSpaghetti sauce |
| 1 1-pound canStewed tomatos |
| 1 poundMushrooms; sliced |
| 8 ouncesShell macaroni |
| 24 ouncesSour cream |
| 8 ouncesProvolone cheese; sliced |
| 8 ouncesMozzarella; sliced |
| 4 tablespoonsButter |
| 1 tablespoonVegetable oil |
Pasta In A Pot Preparation
Using a deep sided electric frying pan works well for this recipe
Saute mushrooms in butter. Reserve, including liquid
Brown and drain beef (use oil if very lean).
Add onions and garlic and cook 2 minutes.
Add spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, and mushrooms including juice. Simmer 20 minutes
Cook macaroni, and rinse in cold water.
In the following order, in a deep (3 qt.) casserole (spray interior 1st with PAM for easy cleanup) -
Half the macaroni, half the meat sauce, half the sour cream, all provolone cheese,
balance of macaroni, rest of the meat sauce, rest of sour cream, all mozzarella cheese;
Place on foil lined cookie sheet, and bake uncovered at 350 degrees, 35-40 minutes
