This is based on a recipe from the Hershey's Cocoa box and it's a great chocolate cake recipe! This is "health food" because cocoa contains antioxidants! :)

This was the first time I made a cake, not from the box, and it is my new cake recipe. The coffee made it so much richer. Everyone loved it.

Cake was excellent. My 14 year old son LOVES chocolate cake with chocolate icing and he thought it was great. Never told him there was coffee in it so if anyone worried about coffee-flavor, can't tell at all. Super moist. Was very pleased with results

I wouldn't say it's the best chocolate cake I've ever had. It sure is good though. Quite rich in taste. I've never baked a cake from scratch and this worked on the first try. I will most definitely be making this one again.

The first time I made this cake it was amazing but instead of the frosting I used some Cadbury Philadelphia and to cover it. The second time I made a smaller batch used muffin cases and it was very stodgey

I added 1/2 cup extra granulated sugar and 1 stick of unsalted butter (in error) to the batter second time baking this, and it turned out PERFECTLY. Bad for your heart, decadent to tastebuds! Best chocolate cake around!

I wouldn't say it's the best chocolate cake.. Maybe I added too much cocoa or something.. The frosting taste cocoa-y.. When u said sugar for the cake do u mean white sugar?

I honestly do not see where all of these "best cake ever" reviews are coming from. I'm big on homemade cakes, and this was one of the most flavorless chocolate cakes I have ever tasted. It tastes like a flavor lacking cake version of coco puffs. I would not make again.
