When I had gestational diabetes this recipe was a great treat.

1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
2. Meanwhile, brown the ground beef; drain.
3. Place meat in a mixing bowl and mix with 1 cup of mozzarella.
4. Spread the mixture into a circle on a round pizza pan or baking stone(I prefer the stone); and top with 1/2 cup pizza sauce.
5. Top with the rest of the mozzarella, optional toppings and seasonings.
6. Bake for about 25 minutes or until cheese is melted and browned.
Comments: Tastes like a pizza, cuts like a pizza, yet there is nodough....though do have a fork and knife on hand for eating purposes becauseit can get a little messy if eaten with hands only. I am a South Beachdieter with a love for Italian foods and this is what curbs my craving forpizza. I love mine with the turkey pepperoni slices, onion, green peppersand mushroom. Serve with a tossed salad or marinated veggies.

ninny727 3 months agoWow! This was good even without pepperoni. I used my homegrown veggies, peppers onions, cherry tomatoes. I also used our home ground venison instead of beef. Only thing I 'bought' was the cheese. Next time I'll squeeze out the juices, and spread it on a larger pan. After it was loaded I sprinkled a little oregano and olive oil. Whoo Hoo!!

kaykaykay60 6 months agoI am always looking for a Gluten Free Alternative for pizza. This pizza was tasty. Next time I make it I'm going to try using taco chips for the first layer to help soak up some of the meat juices.
keith_h_donnell 6 months agoNo dough? How bout making it with No Sauce! That was my problem. Somehow, I was fixed on loading the meatzza up with a lot of sausage and hamburger. Stacked high with grated Parmesan, mushrooms, more cheese and sliced peppers on a Pizza Stone. Not until after our first bites did we realize the Ragu was missing. Oh well, IT WAS JUST AS GOOD!!! Maybe next time I'll try it with sauce. BTW, during the Pre-heating, stick the Pizza Stone in the oven to start warming. BE CAREFUL - HOT STONE! Remove and start loading it up. This will enable your meat to begin to firm up and act as a crust.

Pandersquee 10 months agoI just made this for the first time tonight. I only dolled it up a bit with some italian spices besides from that its a solid recipe for someone watching their carbs. Will make it again!
hesterific 11 month agoMy son and husband loved this! I found the 'crust' too wet even though I soaked up turkey juices 3 times. I added s/p and garlic to the 'crust' which was just enough. I'll definitely make it again!
JMisthecoolest 11 month agoThis was delicious BUT the meat per serving was way wrong. The 1 serving portion says 1lb, and the 4 servings (which I chose for my family of 4) was 4lbs. 4lbs is a ton of meat- waaaaaaaaay too much. Next time I will do everything the same except for the meat (I used italian sausage btw). Next time maybe 2lbs max.

sharonrumsey 1 year agoIt was very tasty.I actually made mine with sausage instead of hamburger and I used a homemade pizza sauce recipe I found. Definitely a keeper!
