Bam's Seven Layer Dip

Recipes »  Appetizers  »  Dips and Spreads

Excellent for summer parties. Easy and delicious. This recipe is based on a recipe from www.recipe-source.com.

"I sometimes make my own refried beans by taking the leftovers from a pot of beans and drianing most of the juice, mashing beans with a potato masher, and frying them in about a teaspoon of Criso until they are heated through and slightly thickened. Let them cool before making the dip. They are so much better than the canned refried beans. " - Beachbumette

A great recipe. I used your families refried beans recipe, spiced to my families taste, for this dip. Our family loved it because it's simple and it's delicious!

Spicy canned bean dip (Frito brand) works very well in place of the refried beans in this recipe. It spreads easier and adds a little zip to the flavor.
