| 1 cloveGarlic; pressed |
| 1 poundRound steak; ground |
| 1/4 poundPork; ground lean, or italian sausage |
| 2 cupsItalian tomatoes |
| 2 cupsItalian tomato paste |
| 1/2 cupBeef stock |
| 1 1/2 teaspoonSalt |
| 1/4 teaspoonPepper |
| 1 Bay leaf |
| 1/2 cupMushroom; sliced |
| 1 tablespoonFresh basil; or oregano |
| Spaghetti; or other pasta cooked |
| Parmesan cheese; grated |
Italian Meat Sauce For Pasta Preparation
Heat olive oil and add garlic; add next 8 ingredients and simmer uncovered about 1 hour. Add mushrooms the last 15 minutes and season with basil or oregano. Serve over cooked pasta with grated cheese.
