Preheat oven to 350F.
In buttered 13-by-9-inch baking dish or jellyroll pan, arrange fillets in single layer. Brush with lemon juice.
Bake fish in preheated oven 10 to 20 minutes or just until fish starts to flake.
Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine cheese, butter, mayonnaise, onions and seasonings. Mix well with fork.
Spread fillets with cheese mixture and bake until golden brown, about 5 minutes.
Baking time will depend on the thickness of the fish you use.
Watch fish closely so that it does not overcook.

Yeah, at this point, I turn the broiler on, and stick the pan back in the oven, on the rack it started on, so it's broiling from like a foot away. Browns but doesn't burn quickly at this distance.

girlchild 1 month agoEven as a Marylander, I omitted the Old Bay (which I buy in bulk, so not because I didn't have it on hand but rather because it just didn't seem to fit). The results were delicious. Though it made an otherwise healthful option not so healthy, my family members who aren't big on fish were thrilled.

mogriff1 1 year agoI made this for dinner tonight, my hubby and I enjoyed it. I used all ingredients as listed. I blended them all together in the food processor and then spread it evenly on Swai fish then baked for 45 min at 350 degrees. Very flavorful will definately make it again!

AMRidgeway 1 year agoThis was great and my boyfriend LOVED it! I agree with suggestion to finish off with a couple mins under the broiler to form a light crispy crust.
