Easy Blondies

Recipes »  Desserts  »  Cookies and Bars

These are dense, but not too heavy, and keep well. Easy preparation and cleanup.

"I was running out of time and needed something easy, quick, and delicious. I came across this recipe and was amazed at how quickly I had a homemade dessert on the counter! The only thing I'll do differently next time is add salt--I use unsalted butter, and I think a pinch of salt would make these absolutely perfect! Oh, and I also took them out after 26 minutes--next time might take them out at 25. A great alternative to brownies from a mix on those days when time is limited!" - ladyhoffman

I used whole wheat flour and took it out of the oven a minute or two early. These are very quick, easy and delicious!

You can substitute many ingredients like dried fruit for the chocolate and nuts. I used pecans and chocolate chunks. [I posted this recipe.]
