dakotarussell ,This was a decent dish. I felt like the sour cream really overpowered the other flavors, though. Not bad at all, just kind of one-note for my tastes.10y
m994836 ,Love it! Very delicious and easy in a Le Creuset 8qt Dutch oven. I threw in a cup of old vine Zinfandel (from my wine glass) but otherwise followed it exactly. Thanks for posting!10y
homechef57 ,Tasting, and Temping, Are Key!! I measure not often! But, taste a lot during the process!! Lol This one is a keeper!!10y
heatherschackniesteske ,Best I've ever had! Min used mushrooms and put over mash potatoes instead. Bless you for sharing!10y
mammaraz ,Crowd really enjoyed. For me It lacked a little flavour, needing red wine. Will try again with.10y
heatherschackniesteske ,This has become THEE Stroganoff dinner at my house. I'm a newlywed and this is my husbands favorite meal. I tried several different recipes for stroganoff but they didn't pan out. this one is wonderful, easy to do and actually tops his mother's recipe for it :-) I don't put mushrooms....10y
mogriff1 ,Hubby really likes when I make this dish. It really is tasty. I make a few changes though...I use beef stock, ground turkey, use 3 cloves of garlic, 1/2 the nutmeg & I omit the bacon and mushrooms. I also added a little cornstarch in the end to thicken.10y
lilyblossom25 ,This is just a slightly different, more involved version of what my husband and I already cook. Going to try it tonight and see what he says! :)10y
This stroganoff is absolutely delicious!! I left out the nutmeg (because I'm not fond of it in savory dishes), and the bacon, since I didn't have any. Instead of water I used beef stock. Otherwise I made it exactly as written. I have tried several stroganoff recipes, and I have finally found a definite keeper. Thanks for a great recipe!
harrietgriffin ,Was super yummy! Need a good non-stick pan though for the steak :p Everyone very much enjoyed it, added more bacon and mushrooms. Steak is nice as something diff but can do without too10y
pwrpufgirlz ,Yum! Made it without nutmeg and used deer steak and none was left, it was so good!10y
b00tles ,This was delicious! I doubled the onion & mushrooms and topped with parsley, after reading the reviews and found it to be quite flavorful. I hadn't budgeted my time well, so it was a surprise to find that it took 1.5-2hrs of simmering before tender enough to eat, but I will make this again.10y
dharmon10 ,Yum! I didn't use the nutmeg because I don't like it but doesn't matter because it was awesome! Thanks.11y
ezmerilda ,Going into my 'repeat' file. This turned out wonderfully done with venison roast (sliced...) in the crock pot. The house smelled incredible when we walked in, added mushrooms while the noodles cooked, then the sour cream last minute. Oh yes!11y
longwalker ,This is a great recipe...great for a Sunday when I have time for the simmer wait. I added a cup of red cooking wine to the water and added season salt to the flour dredge. Meat was tender and juicy.11y
pierre59 ,Excellent, second dish to go in my favorites and I'm planning to make again tonight. Thanks for sharing.11y
