Easy to make Chicken dish.

"Very quick and delicious! This comforting casserole was a great way to use up leftover chicken. It was quite easy to prepare, easy enough to make in a hurry, and the kids loved it. We served this dish with a green salad for a great meal that the whole family enjoyed." - sgrishka

1/2 largeonion
1 1/2 tspButter
4 cupscooked chicken; chopped
1 cancream of chicken soup
1 cupsour cream
1/2 cupmilk
1/2 cupchopped pimento
1 cupcheddar cheese; shredded, divided
6 frozen biscuits; thawed

Creamed Chicken & Biscuits Preparation

1. Preheat oven to 350. Grease sides and bottom of 11x7 baking dish.

2. Chop the onion. Heat butter over med-high heat until melted. Stir in onion. Saute until tender.

3. Combine onion, chicken, soup, sour cream, milk and pimento in a med bowl & mix well. Spoon mixture into prepared baking dish. Bake for 15 minutes. Remove from oven.

4. Sprinkle baked layer with 3/4 cup of cheese. Arrange biscuits over top and sprinkle with remaining cheese.

5. Bake until biscuits are golden brown and sauce is bubbly, about 20 min longer.

    This recipe had way too much sour cream. All I could taste was the sour cream. My kids loved it, but I thought it was gross.

    I actually use Grands in can as opposed to the frozen biscuits, and they turn out great. I also use laughing cow swiss instead of pimento and add green onions along with marinating the chicken breast with a ranch marinade for a little more flavor.

    my boyfriend made this for me on tuesday it came out good. the biscuits were uncooked on the bottom and the mixture was very thin. were gonna try and make this again with smaller biscuits.

    The family loved it ! I did add a sm bag of broccoli (microwaved first) and some onion salt . Did not heed one review...biscuits need to be cooked first ! I did cut the milk in half-the consistency was perfect !
