Mary Lou's Honey Multigrain Wheat Bread (abm)
Mary Lou's Honey Multigrain Wheat Bread (abm) Preparation
Wet ingrediants in first.
use the tablespoon for oil first - then the honey won't stick to the spoon.
then dry ingredients (flour, grains, flour).
then yeast in a small well on top (ensure its separated from water).
Choose Whole Wheat Rapid setting
i like red river cereal,12 or 7 grain mix from the bulk store, wheat germ (1 tb), flax (1 tb), pine nuts, sunflower seeds, irish oats etc. (i try to put all that in !)... Keep your wheat germ, flax, and seeds/nuts in the freezer so they stays fresh (they can go rancid fast).
Do not increase the sweet portion of ingredients - this is the max amount at which the loaf will still rise. :)
My family and friends favourite - based on dozens of loafs and recipes tested this is the best of all the taste tests.
Excellent sweet whole wheat bread which is very healthy -- you can use any combo of grains for a total of 1 cup -- its very nutty and wonderful w/ peanut butter toasted the next day...makes great sandwiches too. :)
i usa a phillips bread maker.
