Original recipe makes 72
1 kilogramPuff Pastry; thawed
500 gramSausage Mince
1 450-gram canTomatoes; crushed
2 cupsBread crumbs
1 largeOnion; diced
3 tblspoonsWorcestershire Sauce
2 tblspoonsMixed herbs
Salt & pepper; as required
1 largeEgg; beaten
1/2 cupLowfat Milk; for garnish
3 largeCarrots; grated

Sos's Savoury Sausage Rolls Preparation

Method

Preheat oven to 230c

Mix egg and Milk together in a small jug. This is used for brushing on top of the pastry.

Mix remaining ingredients altogether thoroughly.

Using either a piping bag or fork and spread along edge of pastry sheet.

Cut and roll pastry up to cover filling brush with egg and milk mixture and cut into small pieces.

Place on baking sheet on tray and bake in oven for 40 minutes . Continue until all mixture and pastry is used.

Notes

These can be made up before hand and frozen before cooking. Thaw mixture and brush with egg and milk and bake as normal when required.

Once cooked these can be frozen. When required thaw and heat in a preheated oven of 180deg for 25minutes.
