Place meat in Crockpot, then pour flour, salt, and pepper over the meat and mix. Add remaining ingredients EXCEPT mushrooms and peas. Mix well. Cook on Low 10-12 hours or High 4-6 hours. Add mushrooms and peas about a half hour before eating. Serve with bread and red wine.

AESG 1 year agoI cooked this on the stove and added Lima beans instead of peas and mushrooms. I also cut back on salt and pepper and added dumplings.

mrscookalot 1 year agocame out great! I took out the mushrooms because my husband hates them, and took out peas because that sounded wired to me and put in green beans and squash.

axs27 4 years agoAgree with the reviews that said it was thin/soup like. To the person who posted the recipe, yes, I followed the directions and used the flour. I added some corn starch to thicken it up.
Amelia06 4 years agoThe stew when made in a slow cooker, is more like soup than stew. In the future I will add some other veggies as well as some tomatoes to liven up the flavor a bit more.
