Original recipe makes 12
1 lbself rising flour
4 ozButter
2 ozSugar
4 teaspoonbaking powder
1/2 wholemilk

Scones Preparation

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Mix first four ingredients together until breadcrumb consistancy. Add milk and stir. Add variation ingrediants and stir. Turn out onto floured board and pat until the dough is about 3/4" thick. Cut into shapes using cookie cutters or knife. Transfer to cookie sheet. Bake for 8 minutes, turn sheet and bake another 8 minutes or until golden.

Variations: Add berries, dried fruit, chocolate chips, cinnamon, sharp cheddar cheese, ham, etc, in any combination that sounds delicious.

Just to let everyone know it's a half a cup of butter, 4 cups of flour, and 1/4 cups of sugar. I also used a extra 1/2 cup of milk because the mixture wasn't sticking

Quick question: would that be 1/2 CUP of whole milk? Not sure what the measurement is for the milk. Looking forward to making these. Thanks a million.
