A quick delicious treat for a cool autumn day.
"This was quick and easy to make. The addition of graham crackers in the topping made for a delightfully unique and delicious apple crisp. I did prepare it a little differently to satisfy my families love of cinnamon. I tossed the apples with 2-3 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, and 2 tsp. lemon juice before covering with the topping. I also cut the nutmeg to about 1/2 tsp. and increased the cinnamon to about 1 1/2 tsp. in the topping. I think another good variation on this recipe would be to substitute crushed ginger snaps for graham crackers -- I'll be trying that next..."- sgrishka

scootersweb 1 week agoMy family loved this. I did it on a Pampered Chef pizza stone and it was crisp and delicious. If you love crisp then you got to try this one.
janellbarnett 1 year agoI did not use cool whip. I served it w vanilla ice cream to give it that ala mode feel. It tastes great w the ice cream! Try it!!
Hailsblue 1 year agoThis was really good, but quite time consuming. Tasted great though!
erinjaggernov 1 year agoIt's hard to find sometimes but I like to use cinnamon ice cream instead of the cool whip! Great for a holiday dessert!

aphilbeck8 2 years agoYum! I made this with my canned apples from the fall, and made homeamde whipped creme (no cool whip for me after making homemade with my bullet) Thanks for posting, Ann
VeronicaEM 2 years agoMade this yesterday. My son and I loved it. My daughter not so much, but she is a picky eater. Love how the graham crackers gave it a cool texture and great taste.
brettnleosmom 2 years agoYummy! I made extra topping, and the extra crunch only added to the goodness of this dessert.
Mister_skip 2 years agoMade it with 10 Trader Joe's cinnamon graham crackers's cause they're a little smaller. Still put in the full teaspoon of cinnamon and it was awesome. Will totally make again!

YvetteF 3 years agoBig hit with the family. We will definitely have this easy to make recipe again and again. Very good!
PKP 3 years agoI'm definatly making this again. It's a bit time consuming to cut the apples as thin as I wanted but they were a little bit too tender. Next time I'll probably cut them a bit thicker to save time and make them firmer.
Crystil 3 years agoThis turned out TERRIBLE...neither the kids nor the hubby liked it and well, I thought it was disgusting!!!

Kdeneen 3 years agoNever made an apple crisp before and this one was super easy and delicious. I used a little more cinnamon and skipped the nutmeg because I didn't have it and it was still full of flavor! I also used fresh apples from a nearby orchard.
stwins2000 3 years agoThis recipe was great. I doubled up on the topping to make it better.
Chiquita_137 3 years agoThis was absolutely delicious. It got gobbled up in one evening I had to make another batch the next day!! I used apples from my apple tree and had to bake 45 minutes. It's a must try!
