Apple Crisp

A quick delicious treat for a cool autumn day.

"This was quick and easy to make. The addition of graham crackers in the topping made for a delightfully unique and delicious apple crisp. I did prepare it a little differently to satisfy my families love of cinnamon. I tossed the apples with 2-3 tbsp. sugar, 1/2 tsp. cinnamon, and 2 tsp. lemon juice before covering with the topping. I also cut the nutmeg to about 1/2 tsp. and increased the cinnamon to about 1 1/2 tsp. in the topping. I think another good variation on this recipe would be to substitute crushed ginger snaps for graham crackers -- I'll be trying that next..." - sgrishka

I did not use cool whip. I served it w vanilla ice cream to give it that ala mode feel. It tastes great w the ice cream! Try it!!

This was really good, but quite time consuming. Tasted great though!

It's hard to find sometimes but I like to use cinnamon ice cream instead of the cool whip! Great for a holiday dessert!

Made this yesterday. My son and I loved it. My daughter not so much, but she is a picky eater. Love how the graham crackers gave it a cool texture and great taste.

Yummy! I made extra topping, and the extra crunch only added to the goodness of this dessert.

Made it with 10 Trader Joe's cinnamon graham crackers's cause they're a little smaller. Still put in the full teaspoon of cinnamon and it was awesome. Will totally make again!

Big hit with the family. We will definitely have this easy to make recipe again and again. Very good!

I'm definatly making this again. It's a bit time consuming to cut the apples as thin as I wanted but they were a little bit too tender. Next time I'll probably cut them a bit thicker to save time and make them firmer.

Never made an apple crisp before and this one was super easy and delicious. I used a little more cinnamon and skipped the nutmeg because I didn't have it and it was still full of flavor! I also used fresh apples from a nearby orchard.
