This sauce isn't just for spaghetti. It makes very good lasagna and all sorts of Italian dishes. Freezes well too!
Brown the sausage with the onion, garlic, bell pepper, and oregano. If it is very lean, as sausage tends to be these days, you might need to add a bit of olive oil to prevent sticking and burning. Add everything else and mix well. Heat to boiling, stirring often; then simmer for 30 minutes, stirring occasionally. Ideally, let it sit around for a few hours on very low heat, stirring occasionally, before serving to let the flavors meld. Freezes well.
