Ingredients

6 cup Apples; peeled sliced, abt 6 med
1 tablespoon Lemon juice
1 tablespoon Water
3/4 cup Flour
1/2 cup Oats
1 teaspoon Cinnamon
1/2 cup Butter
1/2 cups brown sugar; packed

Preparation

Heat oven to 375?. Place apples in 8 or 9 inch square pan. Sprinkle with lemon juice and water. In small bowl, combine remaining ingredients until crumbly, and sprinkle over apples. Bake 40-45 minutes or until apples are tender.

Missing the sugar from the recipe. Add 1/2 -3/4 cup brown sugar to the topping!! Then it won't be bland!!!!!!!

This is the blandest tasting crisp I've ever tasted. The apples need a little spice. The topping did not crisp up either. I will make this again but with a few more spices to give it a little zing.
