3 tablespoonsButter
2 poundsOnion; thinly sliced
2 poundsStew beef; cut into 1 inch chunks
1/4 cupPaprika; yes this much
1 1/2 teaspoonSalt
1 14.5-oz canBeef broth; (a soup-can size)
8 ouncesSour cream
4 cupscooked noodles; Buttered, hot

Hungarian Goulash 2 Preparation

In 5-qt Dutch oven over medium-hi heat, cook onions in butter until lightly browned. Add meat, paprika, salt, broth. Reduce heat to low. Cover and simmer 1 1/2- 2 hours, until meat is fork tender. Stir in sour cream. Heat through, but do not boil. Serve over noodles.

    im hungarian and this is nothing like a real goulash. goulash is a soup, we dont eat it with noodles, we eat it with fresh bread. also hungarians would never use beef broth, we make EVERYTHING from scratch
