sugar cookie with cinnamon

"These snickerdoodles were melt in your mouth good! They had crisp edges, chewy centers, were buttery and sugary (though not overly sweet), had a perfect balance of flavors, and were addictive enough to make me reach for a second. I personally prefer a slightly crisper cookie, so if you go with the high end of the baking time, you will get a crisper cookie, while the low end will get you a chewier one. Either way, these are great." - sgrishka

Did anyone else find that there wasn't enough fat (ie. butter) in this recipe? I had to add another half cup.....I didn't have anymore butter so I added a half a cup of shortening.....they were delicious.

Mine turned out good however they didn't flatten out, stayed in the shape of a ball. I cooked them for 10 minutes and the bottoms burned a bit.

Very easy recipe to make and the butter rather than crisco made these cookies smooth and tasty. Very kid friendly to make.

I changed the vanilla for almond flavouring and I added 2 tbs of ovaltine to the dough and 2 tbs to the sugar and cinnamon coating. I call it Grandma's Snickerdoodles. It's heaven!

I love the taste, but I baked them for the full 10 minutes and the next day they were hard. I will try them baking them for only 8 min. because I love a soft and chewy cookie
