8 ouncesBaby carrots; (1/2 of a 1 pound package)
1/2 cupWater
dashSalt
1 teaspoonButter
1/2 teaspoonSugar
1/2 teaspoonDried basil

Herbed Baby Carrots Preparation

Place carrots, water, salt, butter and sugar in a small lidded sauce pan and heat on medium heat to boiling. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for about 10 minutes. Remove from heat and add the basil. Replace lid and let set for about 10 minutes or until crispy tender.
