Belgian Waffle Batter

Belgian Waffle Batter

Ready in 45 minutes

Yummy Waffles. Topped with Maple-Blueberry Sauce and a little whipped topping these are good enough to be dessert as well as breakfast!

"Recipe makes 8 waffles on a 4 square belgian waffle maker.Turn this into Egg Nog waffles by substituting 1 cup of Egg Nog for 1 cup of the milk. While not as excellent as fresh cooked, these freeze fairly decently. Do best heated up in a toaster oven, microwave makes them a bit chewy, but my son doesn't mind. He really chows these down, at least 2 per serving and he's 4 (I think he has a hollow leg). =)"

In a bowl, beat the egg yolks, add milk and vegetable oil, and vanilla mix and then add the sifted dry ingredients.

In a small bowl, beat the egg whites to a thick foam and add them gently to your preparation. Your batter is ready. Cook your waffles following the instructions of your waffle maker.

Notes

Turn this into Egg Nog waffles by substituting 1 cup of Egg Nog for 1 cup of the milk.

While not as excellent as fresh cooked, these freeze fairly decently. Do best heated up in a toaster oven, microwave makes them a bit chewy, but my son doesn't mind. He really chows these down, at least 2 per serving and he's 4 (I think he has a hollow leg). =)

This was so easy to make and the family loved them.

Light and fluffy. Recipe makes exactly 5 waffles on a round waffle maker so I'd recommend changing the 'serving #' on the recipe. I was nervous to use the whole recipe for '16 servings' but glad I did or we would not have had enough.

We loved these waffles! I subbed brown sugar and added a 1/4 t. of pumpkin spice this time. Just to change it up a little. Turned out great!

By far the best waffles we've ever made in our waffle maker. I was able to make my husband's soft, and mine crispy. Love it!

Barely better than bisquick! Don't bother. Not crisp, no flavor.

Made these waffles for Sunday breakfast and they were wonderful! So fluffy and cooked perfectly in my waffle maker. They had the perfect amount of sweetness that was not overwhelming, a must try!

Turned out delicious! I added a handful of chocolate chips to my batter. Be careful though...my waffle iron popped open! haha lesson learned: add less than you're supposed to.
