I love this recipe and I have made them often before, tonight I tried the cheesecake swirl variation which looks great but adding the 4th egg to The brownie batter seems unnecessary, the I love the fact that they are a dense brownie but adding that 4th egg turned them out to be REALLY cakey, they rose to the top of the pan! Next time I will do without the 4th egg addition...
beachbumette ,This is one of my favorite desserts now. Thanks for sharing another great recipe.13y
sgrishka ,This is the BAKER'S Chocolate (Kraft Foods) recipe for ONE BOWL Brownies and the ingredients are correct...no salt and baking soda. The recipe uses regular butter or margarine, both of which contain some salt. But if your nervous, a light pinch of salt should be OK (enhancing the chocolate flavor). With no baking soda or baking powder, the recipe produces a heavier or denser style brownie rather than a cake-like brownie. These brownies are dense, chocolaty and moist.14y
beachbumette ,No salt or baking soda? I was looking at other recipes, and about to make a recipe I found online, but there's no salt or baking soda included in the ingredients. I am tempted to add a little bit of salt. HELP! And thanks in advance..... :) Your recipes are always excellent, so I'm going to trust this one.14y
starletk ,This is an excellent recipe!! I'd made the one bowl brownies in the past but used self-rising flour and they always turned out cakey. I didn't like them!! Thank you so much for the all-purpose flour tip; these brownies are to die for.14y
