Original recipe makes 40
2 cupsWater; hot
2 cupsWhole milk; boiled
2 cupsOld Fashioned Oats
1 cupHoney
1/4 cupCanola oil
1 3/4 tablespoonSalt
2 largeEggs; beaten
1 3/4 tablespoonYeast
1/2 cupWater; warm
7 cupsWhole wheat flour
2 1/2 cupsWhite flour

Ropp's Honey Oatmeal Bread Preparation

Mix first 3 ingredients; cool ? hour. Dissolve yeast in ? cup warm water. Mix all ingredients together adding the flour last. Knead until dough is smooth. Divide dough into 4 greased loaf pans and let rise in warm place for 30-60 minutes. Bake at 375? for 40 minutes or until bread sounds hollow when tapped. Tastes great to brush tops with butter when removed from oven. Works awesome in a Bosch mixer - just stop adding flour when the dough stops sticking to the sides of the mixing bowl.
