Original recipe makes 4
1 1/4 poundGround beef
1/2 poundGround pork
1/4 cupOnion; chopped
1/2 cupBread crumbs
1 eaEgg; beaten
3/4 cupmilk
1/2 teaspoonSalt
1/2 teaspoonLawry's Seasoning Salt
1/8 teaspoonPepper; ground
2 tablespoonChili sauce; heinz
1 cupketchup; to cover meatloaf

Meat Loaf Preparation

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Beat egg slightly, add 1/2 cup milk, then breadcrumbs. (If all the breadcrumbs do not get moist, add a bit more milk.) Add all other ingredients, except ketchup. Mix first with spoon or fork, then with hands. (Add milk 2 tablespoons at a time until it is the right consistency. Shouldn't be at all liquid but it shouldn't bee too hard to squeeze through your fingers either.) Fill loaf pan, making sure there are no air bubbles. Cover with a layer of ketchup.

Cook for one hour.
