Original recipe makes 19
1 cupSelf Rising Flour
1 Egg
1/2 tablespoonSugar
1 tablespoonCream
3/4 cupWater
1 pinchSalt

Pikelets Preparation

(if you are using plain flour just pop some baking powder in)

1. Plop everything except the water into a bowl. Pour in half the water and mix. Add more water untill you get a thick slow running batter.

2. Spoon desertspoon fulls into a hot greased pan. Wait till bubbles come up and bust then flip over.

3. Serve with rasberry jam and cream!

Or anything else you fancy. Jams, berries and honey.

They're not the best they seem nice since they have a few ingredients but the taste is not convincing.

Made but they were heavy and dense. They would have lacked flavor had I not added some vanilla. Kids enjoyed them though because they were 'baby pancakes.' I prefer lighter/fluffier. Not sure if I would make again.
