Great make ahead dinner.
"I rubbed the roast, put in fridge over night, then seared in a fry pan to seal in juices. I added one cup broth and several good shakes of my favorite hot sauce to the crock pot before cooking. I then cooled it in the fridge again over night and removed the hard fats then shredded the meat, added the juices from the meat and the BBQ sauce, then reheated in the crock pot. This was FANTASTIC. A great hit at the picnic. Thank you for a great recipie!"- rjhalvor

Rev700 2 months agoChanged it a little. Cooked the pork in the beef broth and BBQ mixture then removed and added a little liquid as needed.
Lizeden6 3 months agoAwesome! Best recipe I've tried on this site! I did add a little apple cider vinegar though
achrona5 4 months agoThis was really good. However, liquid content was exaggerated.

4thephil 5 months agoDelicious! I had a 7.5 LB bone-in pork butt. Turned out great. After 10 hours I had about 4 cups liquid left. I took out 3 cups, leaving one, and added 3 cups Sweet Baby Rays. Would make again!
Littlemills97 6 months agoEveryone loves this but I do not add broth. Add brown sugar/apple cider when start cooking. Always easy. Cook with bone and fat then remove as shredding. So good!
mylittlekitchen192103 7 months agoThis is not how you do pulled pork. Hate to break it to you but you use a smoker and a different rub recipe. And if you use a smoker you can cut half your time.

Lmp0526 10 months agoCut the recipe in half, added brown sugar and apple cider vinegar mixture like others have suggested and omitted the beef broth. Used jack Daniels hickory brown sugar BBQ sauce. BBQ turned out so moist, tasty, and addictive!
Lala79 10 months agoAbsolutely delicious and easy. I followed one of the other reviewers suggestion and added 1/2 apple cider vinegar mixed with 1/2 brown sugar as liquid while cooking. Removed the juices before adding my BBQ sauce and hen added back in as necessary.

mia1984 10 months agoWay too good!!!! Definitely making again. Didn't do the brith since the slow cooker makes so much juice. I added 2 tbsp of teriyaki & 2 tbsp of honey. After I shredded the pork, I drained some of the juice, dumped the fat , & used the juice to mix with the BBQ sauce. To die for!!!
4thephil 10 months agoVery good. Be sure to cook entire length. I cooked 3 hours short, internal temp was done, but was very hard to get off bone.

MrBroc 11 month agoVery good and easy recipe. Didn't care for the beef broth so on my second batch replaced it with more BBQ sauce...very nice tasty recipe.
dshrews3 11 month agoI made this for my step daughters birthday party last year and now is requested at family get togethers. For Christmas I even made homemade buns. This is by far the best shredded pork recipe I have tried. Thanks so much for sharing!
