Salt and Pepper Cocktail
Ingredients
Original recipe makes 1
| 1 1/2 ouncesMagellan gin |
| 1 dropSimple syrup |
| 1/2 Juice of a lime |
| 1/2 Juice of a grapefruit |
| 2 dashesPeychaud's bitters |
| Lime Juice; for garnish |
| Salt; coarse for garnish |
Salt and Pepper Cocktail Preparation
Rim a martini glass with lime juice and coarse salt
Add the gin, simple syrup, juices of 1/2 fresh lime and 1/2 fresh grapefruit to a shaker of ice.
Shake and strain into glass.
Notes
With the blue-tinted French iris gin and the Peychaud bitters, the Salt & Pepper comes out an odd greyish color, but the taste makes a refreshing change from overly sweet margaritas in the summer.
