Original recipe makes 1
12 ouncesPorter; or other dark, rich beer
2 teaspoonsBrown sugar
2 ouncesGin
Nutmeg; for garnish

The Dog's Nose Preparation

Heat 12 oz porter in a large glass in the microwave (yes, really), for about a minute or until hot (not boiling).

Add 2 tsps brown sugar and stir until dissolved. Careful, it is at this stage that the drink bubbles up!

Stir in the two ounces of gin.

Garnish with a dash of grated nutmeg.
