Sticky, Sweet Chicken Wings
|2 poundsChicken wings; tips trimmed and separated at the joint|
|-- MARINADE --|
|1/2 cupSoy sauce|
|1 tablespoonFresh ginger; minced|
|1 tablespoonGarlic; minced|
|1 tablespoonAsian Chili Paste; as required|
|-- GLAZE --|
|1 1/2 tablespoonHoisin sauce|
|-- GARNISH --|
|Sesame seeds; toasted|
|1 Green onion; chopped|
Sticky, Sweet Chicken Wings Preparation
1. Combine marinade ingredients in a zip top plastic bag and add chicken wings. Marinate 15 minutes to 1 hour, mixing often.
2. Combine glaze ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
3. Grill wings, covered, over medium heat, turning often until golden. About 10-15 minutes.
4. Using a pastry brush, generously glaze wings and continue to grill, turning as glaze begins to caramelize, about 5 minutes more (do not burn glaze).
Transfer to platter, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion.
Serves 6 as an appetizer, 2 as a main course.
