Sticky, Sweet Chicken Wings
Original recipe makes 2
| 2 poundsChicken wings; tips trimmed and separated at the joint |
| -- MARINADE -- |
| 1/2 cupSoy sauce |
| 1 tablespoonFresh ginger; minced |
| 1 tablespoonGarlic; minced |
| 1 tablespoonAsian Chili Paste; as required |
| -- GLAZE -- |
| 1/2 cupHoney |
| 1 1/2 tablespoonHoisin sauce |
| -- GARNISH -- |
| Sesame seeds; toasted |
| 1 Green onion; chopped |
Sticky, Sweet Chicken Wings Preparation
1. Combine marinade ingredients in a zip top plastic bag and add chicken wings. Marinate 15 minutes to 1 hour, mixing often.
2. Combine glaze ingredients in a small bowl and set aside.
3. Grill wings, covered, over medium heat, turning often until golden. About 10-15 minutes.
4. Using a pastry brush, generously glaze wings and continue to grill, turning as glaze begins to caramelize, about 5 minutes more (do not burn glaze).
Transfer to platter, sprinkle with sesame seeds and green onion.
Serves 6 as an appetizer, 2 as a main course.
