This soup is great for a cold evening. It serves a crowd so it's great for parties
In a large stockpot, mix masa with water until smooth. Add broth and bring to a boil. Add garlic, onion, seasonings, and chiles. Simmer, covered, about 15 minutes. Add chicken and hominy and let simmer to bring out the flavor. Salt to taste.
Garnish with lime wedges, avocado slices, and sour cream.
Goes well with corn muffins.
