"It was generally my practice to just google "pancakes" whenever I wanted to make pancakes; I never had an allegiance to any particular pancake recipe. Now I come directly to this one. This recipe makes *excellent* pancakes.
They are very vanilla-y, which my family and I love. The only thing I change is to add a splash more vanilla than the recipe calls for.
The batter is thicker than other recipes I've tried-so don't think you're doing something wrong if you get a slightly thicker batter.

Ingredients
Basic Pancakes Preparation
Sift together the dry ingredients.
In a separate bowl, mix the milk, vanilla, melted butter and egg.
Slowly blend the liquid ingredients with the dry, just until all ingredients are moist. Do NOT overstir!
Allow batter to rest for five minutes.
For prettiest results, cook pancakes on 325' griddle.
