The Ultimate Fresh Fruit Pie

Ready in 45 minutes

Toss fruit with cornstarch instead of flour for truer,

fruiter, fresher flavor and color.

Basic Fruit Pie: Prepare favorite pastry for double

crust 9 inch pie.

To Make Filling: Mix together dry ingredients. Toss

with fruit and lemon juice, if used. Turn into pastry-lined

pie plate. Dot with margarine. Cover pie with pastry; seal

and flute edge. Make several slits in top crust. Bake as

directed or until crust is browned.

"I did the Pear Pie I did not understand the 15 min and 40 min bake time so I baked it for 50 min. The first 30 mins I did with a cover of foil and the last 20 uncovered. I have my own crust reciepe that everyone adores but untill now I could not get the innereds right. THANK YOU I love this, We love this, My Freinds love this pie. I did add 2 handfulls of fresh blueberries and used Ajou pears, I did forget to put the butter in but with this My family and freinds did not even notice."

3/4 c. Sugar

1 Tbsp. Lemon juice

Bake in a 425 degrees oven for 50 minutes
Peach Pie:
3/4 c. Sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
1/2 tsp. Cinnamon
6 c. peaches; sliced, peeled and pitted
1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
1 Tbsp. Margarine
Bake in a 425 degrees oven for 40 minutes
Rhubarb Pie:
1 1/4 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Cornstarch
2 tsp. orange rind
1/4 tsp. Salt
5 c. rhubarb; 1-inch pieces
1 Tbsp. Margarine
Bake in 425 degrees oven for 45 minutes
Note: Two 1 pound 4 ounce packages frozen rhubarb
; thawed and drained
Cherry Pie:
3/4 c. Sugar
3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
1/2 tsp. Salt
2 1-lb cans pitted sour red
cherries,; drained, juices reserved
1/4 tsp. Almond extract
1 Tbsp. Margarine
Mix dry ingredients
almond extract
350 Bake in 425 degrees oven 15 minutes and bake 40 m
Pineapple Pie:
3/4 c. Sugar
1/4 c. Cornstarch
1/4 tsp. Salt
1/4 tsp. Nutmeg
4 c. pineapple; drained, diced, ripe
1 Tbsp. Margarine
Bake in 425 degrees oven for 15 minutes
bake 40 minutes longer
Blueberry Pie:
1 c. Sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
4 c. Blueberries
1 Tbsp. Margarine
Bake in 425 degrees oven for 40 minutes
Pear Pie:
1/2 c. brown sugar; firmly packed dark
3 Tbsp. Cornstarch
1/2 tsp. Ginger
1/8 tsp. Salt
4 1/2 c. ripe pears; pared, thinly sliced and cored
1 Tbsp. Lemon juice
1 Tbsp. Margarine
Bake in 425 degrees oven for 15 minutes
bake 40 minutes longer
Strawberry Pie:
1 c. Sugar
2 1/2 Tbsp. Cornstarch
1 Tbsp. Margarine
4 c. strawberries; hulled and halved
Bake in 425 degrees oven for 40 minutes

I did the Pear Pie I did not understand the 15 min and 40 min bake time so I baked it for 50 min. The first 30 mins I did with a cover of foil and the last 20 uncovered.
