These look like bakery cookies!
"I used a combination of chocolate chips and chunks since I had both in the pantry. These are big, chewy, delicious cookies! The recipe is nearly the same as another I posted, although this dough is slightly more easy to mix... either one is fantastic!"- 1MoreCreative

Preheat your oven to 325? Line cookie sheets with parchment paper.
Sift together flour, baking soda & salt; set aside.
In medium bowl, cream together the melted butter and sugars until well blended. Beat in vanilla, egg and egg yolk until light & creamy.
Mix in the sifted ingredients until just blended. Fold in chocolate chips by hand.
Drop dough onto cookie sheets (approx 1/4 cup), about 3 inches apart.
Bake for 15-17 minutes. Remove from oven and cool on baking sheets for a couple minutes before moving to wire cooling rack. I place a tea towel over the wire racks and put the cookies on top of the towel. The cookies seem to stay softer this way.

JackieJR 1 year agoI love these cookies! I make them as the recipe says. I'm pretty sure that this is a Christopher Kimball recipe (from Cooks Illustrated). I like to give credit where credit is due.

AMcNeal4 1 year agoP.S. if you want them thick and fluffy use about 1/2 cup more flour and only soften the butter. Delicious!!

elizabethgarriottbeverly 1 year agoThese are awesome! They are devoured every time I make and take them somewhere. I always make at least a double batch. They are even better with M&ms. Try leaving the dough in the fridge over night before baking.
Thesonicboom 1 year agoThe best cookies ever!! Whole family loved it, they ate it all in 15-20 minutes!!!
Marie2007 1 year agoI made these to bring to work and everyone loved them. I did melt the butter next time I will try it that way. As soon as I took them out of the oven I sifted powdered sugar over them
