Beef Chili with Beans

This chili with beans and meat recipe is a favorite in our house, and can be seasoned to taste to create a mildly flavored dish or one that is extra hot for those who enjoy some additional spice. As is, this chili is not too spicy but has just enough kick and the ingredients that go into it, give it teriffic depth of flavor.

Big hit at my house! I did have to cut a little off its kick for the kids.

Has to say it's surprisingly bland and the peppers gaved it too much asic. Would not do for again.

My tweaks were ground turkey instead of beef, pintos instead of kidney beans, and omitted cayenne and red chilies. It had a nice sweet flavor. Such an awesome base that it tasted great WHILE it was cooking. I can't wait to taste it in a day or two!!! I will definitely make it again

My daughter says that I'm a good "recipe follower". I rarely make changes to a recipe. This is my Go-To Chili recipe as written...just the right heat for everyone, even my "put hot sauce on everything" son-in-law.

Excellent recipe! I made a meatier variation with lean stew meat, beef sausage, lean ground beef and bacon. Also, substituted can of black beans for kidney beans. Very flavorful.

Tweaked the spices a little bit, extra tablespoon of chili powder and doubled up on the pepper flakes and cayenne then and added a small can of bushes baked beans. This recipe is delicious.

Great! I tripled the recipe for a large crowd and it was a huge hit. The only thing I would have changed, is I wish I had made it the day before...to give the flavors time to meld even more.

This is deelish! I am doing paleo, so I used grass-fed sirloin, coconut oil, and the rest organic. An outstanding dish!

I was hoping this would be "the" chili recipe & sadly it was not. It was good but all I tasted was the heat (cayenne & pepper flake). While I like spicy chili, I was not getting any chili flavor.

Just made this and it rocks! I left out the garlic and added 1 TBS of Saigon Cinnamon and a couple tablespoons of honey. Outstanding!

I produced this in my pressure cooker, using left over rump steak (from the bottom of the freezer) which I blitzed in the blender to mince and some spare cans of kidney beans. I also threw in a few extra tried chilies, as I like it hot. The result was super tender chunks of meat, a rich spicy chili sauce and fall-apart beans. Served it on rice, with some cheese on top. Very yummy, for a 20 minute meal.
