This chili with beans and meat recipe is a favorite in our house, and can be seasoned to taste to create a mildly flavored dish or one that is extra hot for those who enjoy some additional spice. As is, this chili is not too spicy but has just enough kick and the ingredients that go into it, give it teriffic depth of flavor.

Shalayla , 10 months agoLoved it!
Lumber009 , 10 months agoIt just was not as good as it should have been.
SonyaN , 10 months agoI have made this several times and love it. I will admit that I don't always follow the recipe to the letter - a habit of mine - but I have recommended it to others and they love it too.

atashakelm , 10 months agoSuper good chili, I also added a 1/4 cup brown sugar to sweeten it up and cut down on spices for my children. Recipe is great for people that like it spicy.
TFaulk80 , 11 months agoI made this chili a few weeks ago for my family and I and it was delicious. It was also very easy to make!! Can't wait to make it again.

Jackiechan042003 , 11 months agoLove this recipe! A friend of mine taught me to serve chili over noodles and fritos so the chili left overs last longer, so I served this over elbow noodles, with a small amount of fritos and some cheese on top.
Amal1000 , 11 months agoBrilliant. Family loved it and so did I
amybusby , 1 years agoAfter browning the meat I transfered to a crock pot on high for a hour then turned it to low and added a 1/2 cup of water for a few hours with the cover offf. This is a keeper. I will add a few more veggies next time....celery and maybe corn.
annmartinson , 1 years agolove it. make it regularly with lots of variations, but always start with this recipe and just use what I have. family and friends love it. I've made it several times with venison/beef or venison/elk.
hotrod1957 , 1 years agoI used pork sausage instead of beef and added half a cup of sugar. Best chili I ever ate. Everyone loved it and came back for more.

annmartinson , 1 years agoawesome. I don't like too hot and this recipe is perfect for me and my husband just adds from his hot sauce collection. delicious! I used dried kidney beans cooked in my pressure cooker. simmered for 2 hours. done. very good!
sierraslop , 1 years agoWay too much tomato for my taste. I think there may be a type-o on the amount of tomato puree and crushed tomato. Cut the quantity of tomato in half and this is a great chili recipe.
jmilhoan , 1 years agoThis makes a great dish to serve on a cold day. It has just a bit of a kick to it. I added a 1/4 cup of packed brown sugar, giving it the perfect balance.
