World's Chocolatiest Brownies

I actually got this recipe from a cookbook (sorry don't know which) in our local library when I was in High School. When I was tired of studying or waiting to be picked up, I would look at cookbooks to pass the time( I get lost in cookbooks!). I always copied down recipes...some I tried, some I kept to try later. Well, this recipe I kept and never tried until I got married! So , I am glad I kept it! This recipe has got to be my favorite recipe for brownies. They are very fudgy/chewy and not cake-like. I made a few additions to it but kept the basic recipe the same.

(4.3, 114) 86% would make again

I was out of of chocolate chips, so I used 2 cups of Hershey's Chocolate Syrup. I cooked it for about 35-40 minutes, they turned out great.

I bake these a little under the set time, usually to 20/25 minutes so they aren't quite as firm as most brownies and they just fall apart (in the good way) super moist and full of chocolate goodness

These came out very good. Worth saving this recipe. I took one of the advices to.add extra.egg. I wouldn't next time it came out cake like def. Use 2 eggs only. My pic is the one with four brownies on a white smll plate. I will make this again. Thanks for posting!

I'd like to have a go at this but need a bit more info, would 3/4 cup be: Sugar 187 grams Butter 226 grams Flour 94 grams and is that granulated sugar, unsalted butter and plain flour ? Cheers ;)

These are absolutely amazing! So easy to make... It did have to bake about 20 minutes longer than the directions.

Very good! Should use a bit less butter and sugar, and add nuts. But it's only in my opinion... the original is very tasty too :-)

I follow everything but I replace one cup of chocolate chip to one cup of coco powder. Which mean one cup of chocolate chip and one cup of chocolate. Result: VERY DRY. WHY? ;((((
