Reviews for World's Chocolatiest Brownies
Recipes » Desserts » Chocolate
I actually got this recipe from a cookbook (sorry don't know which) in our local library when I was in High School. When I was tired of studying or waiting to be picked up, I would look at cookbooks to pass the time( I get lost in cookbooks!). I always copied down recipes...some I tried, some I kept to try later. Well, this recipe I kept and never tried until I got married! So , I am glad I kept it! This recipe has got to be my favorite recipe for brownies. They are very fudgy/chewy and not cake-like. I made a few additions to it but kept the basic recipe the same.

Very good! Should use a bit less butter and sugar, and add nuts.
But it's only in my opinion... the original is very tasty too :-)

I follow everything but I replace one cup of chocolate chip to one cup of coco powder. Which mean one cup of chocolate chip and one cup of chocolate. Result: VERY DRY. WHY? ;((((

like the recipe but it needs one more egg if you like your brownies gooey instead of cakey. i also added a tbs of cocoa which helped make them more chocolatey

I just tried these and I have to say that they are the best brownies I have ever eaten. I used Dove dark chocolates and chopped them up (instead of chocolate chips). WOW they are yummy. Plan on taking a batch to work tomorrow with some peanut butter frosting. I think my coworkers will love them too!!!

I love this recipe and so do my family :-). Brownies didn't last for one night. I used snicker bars cut into small pieces instead of chocolate chips approximately 10 miniature bars. The brownies were baked a little longer than stated in the recipe. All and all this is a recipe I will make over and over. So far I have made the 3 times since finding this recipe last month lol. Thanks for posting

Great!! Everyone at worked loved them. Made them many times. I've added cocoa power and milk to them plus using just milk chocolate and dark chocolate bars from tescos. Difficult finding chips in uk.
