1/2 poundbacon; sliced
1 c.Celery; chopped
1/2 c.Onions; chopped
2 cupspotatoes; diced peeled
1 c.Water
1 cancorn kernels; drained
1 cancream -style corn
1 12-oz canevaporated milk; ( 12 oz.)
1 lbsmoked sausage; cut into 1/4 inch slices

Smoked Sausage & Corn Chowder Preparation

in a large saucepan, cook the bacon until crisp. remove to paper towels ;

crumble and set aside. drain all but 2 tbls. of the drippings.

saute celery and onion in drippings until onion is lightly browned. add potatoes and water.

cover and cook over medium heat for 10 min.

stir in corn, milk, sausage, and bacon.cook until the potatoes are tender , about 30 minutes.

Delicious! Even my picky eaters loved this dish, I will definitely add this to my list of things to make again! I used Turkey Bacon and it turned out great.

This was a perfectly fine recipe. I found myself wanting a little more variety in the flavors, but it's a good, basic meat & potatoes sort of dish as is. I would tend to agree with previous reviewers than it seems a bit thin for a chowder, maybe needs thickening up a bit.
