This is a simple apple pie that, believe it or not, you bake in a brown paper sack!!!

Ingredients

Original recipe makes 8
2 pie crusts
3 Granny Smith Apples
2 Red Delicious Apples
1 cupsugar
0.5 Cflour; + 2 T
1 tspcinnamon
1 tspnutmeg
1 patsbutter
lemon juice
1 milk

Apple Pie in a Bag Preparation

1. Peel & Slice

3 Granny Smith apples

2 Red Delicious apples

2. Mix with apples

1/2 c. sugar

2 T. flour

1 t. cinnamon

1 t. nutmeg

3. Place mixture in pie shell.

4. Mix

1/2 c. sugar

1/2 c. flour

Pour over apple pie mixture.

5. Place pats of butter over apple mixture and drip lemon juice over it all.

6. Place 2nd pie crust on top. Drizzle milk on crust, then sprinkle with sugar.

7. Pierce top crust several times w/knife (for steam).

8. Place pie in a brown paper grocery bag. Fold shut and clip with a wooden clothes pin.

9. Place bag on a cookie sheet and place in oven. (Make sure it doesn't hit the top of your oven.)

10. Bake at 425 for 55-60 minutes. Remove from oven, tear open bag and enjoy!!
