Pork Chops and Potatoes

"I enjoyed this recipe. Reminds me of something my mom used to make, except she used rice instead of potatoes. Mostly, I followed directions with a few changes. Added thinly sliced carrots with the onion and potato. The potatoes I used were frozen bagged red precooked that I thawed then sliced (fresh potatoes in Okinawa, Jp right now are over $14 for 4 potatoes.) Shortened the time to 35 min covered, 15 min with cheese. Could have shortened it 10 min more for a more tender meat. "

"If you like it, you might also try this  I usually marinate the chops in a mixture of teriyaki sauce, honey, guldens mustard, black pepper and garlic for at least 3 hours or overnight to add even more flavor." Firebyrd Firebyrd

"Personally, I prefer making it this way  Easy and elegant enough for the in-laws. Be sure, when filling the chops, not to stuff it too full, or the meat will be done cooking before the cheese has had a chance to melt." Firebyrd Firebyrd
