This chili is great served in biscuit bowls, or with beer cheese bread.
"Excellent except a little too much liquid like a soup. I added 1 can of retried beans to thicken. That was just what it needed. Tasted similar to Texas chili that I usually make. This recipe makes a lot. I will add a little more cayenne pepper next time. The recipe made 5 meals for 2 people. Also used a portion of it for tamale pie. Chili In Slow Cooker Preparation
Season the beef, turkey and sausage with salt and pepper, and brown in skillet over medium-high heat.
Combine meats and rest of ingredients (up to red wine) in slow cooker; cook on low for 8 hours.
Add red wine at hour six.
