Chili In Slow Cooker

Recipes »  Soups, Stews and Chili  »  Chili

This chili is great served in biscuit bowls, or with beer cheese bread.

"Excellent except a little too much liquid like a soup. I added 1 can of retried beans to thicken. That was just what it needed. Tasted similar to Texas chili that I usually make. This recipe makes a lot. I will add a little more cayenne pepper next time. The recipe made 5 meals for 2 people. Also used a portion of it for tamale pie. Overall, a good recipe I will make again." - Sweetie59

Very good! Browned 1/2 the garlic in the pan before adding meat, put the rest in the slow cooker. Cut down on the sugar, subbed a tsp of cinnamon. Added red pepper flakes. Sweet and spicy! Great depth of flavor.

My crock pot has three settings: warm, low, and high. I cooked this recipe on low setting for six hours, it was bubbling the whole time, in the end the meat tasted way overlooked. Also too sweet - I would skip the brown sugar altogether.

Really good, I only used ground turkey and just lowered the amount of the other ingredients and it was amazing, have made it twice already!

Delicious chili! Everyone was raving! Only thing I altered was te thickness. It was a bit watery so around hour 7 I added a little cornstarch to thicken. (mix cold water with cornstarch). Great meal!!
