Original recipe makes 2
3 tbspbutter
1 lbshrimp; tail on, deveined
1/4 tspkosher salt
1/4 tspblack pepper
1 clovegarlic; thinly sliced
1/2 pintmushrooms; sliced
1 tbsplemon juice
1 tsplime juice
3/4 cupdry white wine; (sauv blanc)
1/4 cupfresh cilantro; chopped

Shrimp Scampi and Angel Hair Preparation

Melt 2 TBS butter over lo heat in a medium skillet. Add the shrimp, salt and pepper to taste, cook 1 minute. Add the garlic and flip shrimp to cook 1 minute on other side. Add a squeeze of lime juice. Remove from pan and sprinkle with salt.

In same hot skillet, add wine, butter, lemon juice. Bring to simmer then add mushrooms. Cook until mushrooms are done. Add shrimp, cilantro, and angel hair to sauce. Mix and serve hot.

    This was delicious. I added a little cornstarch to thicken the sauce. I didn't have any cilantro so I added fresh parsley. We will definitely make this again.

    Husband said it is as good as a restaurant. I did thicken the sauce a little with flower and water though so it would adhere to noodles

    great recipe! easily made with ingredients i already had in the house. i think i might like to give the sauce a bit more body next time... maybe cornstarch, arrowroot? not sure.
